Privacy policy

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, the contents of your order and your chosen collection time. If you create an account we also store your email and a securely hashed password, managed by our authentication provider.

If you contact us we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.

We collect basic technical information such as your device type and pages visited to keep the site working and secure.

We never see or store your card number. You pay in the shop when you collect, so no card details are entered on this website at all. If we add online payment later, it will be handled by a certified payment provider and this page will say so before it goes live.

• To take, prepare and hand over your order — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To contact you if there is a problem with an order.
• To keep your order history so you can reorder in one tap, where you have an account.
• To meet our legal obligations, including food safety and tax record keeping.

Order records are kept for six years, which is how long HMRC requires a business to keep its accounts. Contact messages are kept for 12 months. Nothing is kept for marketing, because we do not do any.

You can close your account at any time from your account page. When you do, we delete your sign-in, your profile, your saved contact details and any messages you have sent us, straight away. Orders you have already placed stay in our accounts for the six years above, but your name, email address and phone number are removed from them, so they are no longer linked to you.

Only the suppliers who help us run the service: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (sending your order confirmation and account emails). We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email fitbowls.co.uk@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
